The 2012 Artificial Intelligence Dissertation Award sponsored by ECCAI, the European Coordinating Committee for Artificial Intelligence has been awarded to:

for his thesis:

Declarative Pattern Mining using Constraint Programming

 
This Award includes a certificate signed by the ECCAI Chair and 1.500 Euros (which include the travel grant for the Award ceremony).

The Selection Committee has decided to award, in addition, an honourable mention to Markus Brill, Technische Universität München, for his thesis: "Set-Valued Solution Concepts in Social Choice and Game Theory", and to Long Tran-Thanh, University of Southampton, for his thesis "Budget-limited multi-armed bandits".
