2015 EurAI Dissertation Award
The 2015 Artificial Intelligence Dissertation Award sponsored by ECCAI, the European Coordinating Committee for Artificial Intelligence has been awarded to:
Andrea Micheli
Fondazione Bruno Kessler, Trento, Italy
for his thesis:
Planning and Scheduling in Temporally Uncertain Domains
under the supervision of Alessandro Cimatti (Fondazione Bruno Kessler, Trento).
This Award includes a certificate signed by the ECCAI Chair and 1.500 Euros (which include the travel grant for the Award ceremony).
The Selection Committee has decided to award, in addition, an honourable mention to Matteo Pirotta, Politecnico di Milano, for his thesis: "Reinforcement Learning: From Theory to Algorithms", and to Mohamed Siala, University College Cork, for his thesis "Search, propagation, and learning in sequencing and scheduling problems".
The ECCAI Dissertation Award Presentation took place on August 30th, 2016, at The Hague in The Netherlands.
