2011 AI Dissertation Award
The 2011 Artificial Intelligence Dissertation Award sponsored by ECCAI, the European Coordinating Committee for Artificial Intelligence has been awarded to:

for his thesis:
Approaches to Probabilistic Model Learning for Mobile Manipulation Robots
This Award includes a certificate signed by the ECCAI Chair and 1.500 Euros (which include the travel grant for the Award ceremony).
The Selection Committee has decided to award, in addition, an honourable mention to Mario Alviano, Universita della Calabria, for his thesis: "Dynamic Magic Sets", and to Michael Spranger, Vrije Universiteit Brussel, for his thesis "The Evolution of Grounded Spatial Language".
The ECCAI Dissertation Award Ceremony took place during ECAI-2012 in Montpellier, France.
