2016 EurAI Dissertation Award

The 2016 Artificial Intelligence Dissertation Award sponsored by EurAI, the European Artificial Intelligence Association has been awarded to:

Gabriele Valentini

Arizona State University, USA

 
for his thesis:

The Best-of-n Problem in Robot Swarms

 
under the supervision of Marco Dorigo (Université Libre de Bruxelles, Belgium).

This Award includes a certificate signed by the ECCAI Chair and 1.500 Euros (which include the travel grant for the Award ceremony).

The Selection Committee has decided to award, in addition, an honourable mention to Riccardo Zese, University of Ferrara, Italy, for his thesis: "Probabilistic reasoning and Learning for the Semantic Web".

The ECCAI Dissertation Award Presentation took place on August 25th, 2017, at IJCAI-2017 in Melbourne, Australia.
