EurAi, the European Association of Artificial Intelligence, takes a step forward in recognizing the role of AI in the progress of humanity and joins forces with AI Squirrel and other associations, like AAAI and CAAI, to support the 2022 AAAI Squirrel AI Award for Artificial Intelligence for the Benefit of Humanity. This award results from the agreement between AI Squirrel, AAAI, and EurAi to benefit and strengthen artificial intelligence application and research. As a result of the collaboration, EurAi will also be part of the evaluation committee.
¿What is AAAI Squirrel AI Award?
The AAAI Squirrel AI Award recognizes the positive impacts of artificial intelligence in protecting, enhancing, and improving human life in meaningful ways with long-lived effects. The award is given annually at the AAAI Conference on Artificial Intelligence and is accompanied by a prize of $1,000,000, plus travel expenses to the conference. Squirrel AI provides financial support for the award.

Who can apply?
Candidates may be individuals, groups, or organizations directly connected with the main contribution stated in the nomination. Qualifications or technical knowledge in artificial intelligence are not requirements for nominations. The emphasis is on the significance and impact of the work.
The 2022 award will be given at AAAI-22 in Vancouver, Canada, in February 2022.
